Russell grew up in Scotland but has lived and worked in the UK and Europe throughout his career. He currently works as a senior cloud enterprise architect at Capgemini.
He has 25 years of leadership experience in software architecture, development and delivery of solutions in banking, telecommunications and government.
Russell has a wide and unusually deep knowledge of a variety of IT disciplines. After 15 years in front, middle and back office areas of investment banking, he has spent the last 12 years creating architectures and delivering cloud native and hybrid cloud solutions for all sizes of client organisation.
Innovations in technology create opportunity for improved business processes and architectures. Russell has worked with corporates to identify how organisational structures, reward systems, and technology can be aligned to facilitate agility, scalability and profitability.
Russell has 10 years’ experience of agile methods and around 10 years’ experience of traditional project management methods. He holds PRINCE2 Foundation level certification.
Russell is able to assimilate large amounts of complex information quickly, develop insights and propose workable solutions. On every assignment he hits the ground running and always makes significant contributions.
